• I miss my friends that live out of state

• I love having people in my life that genuinely care about me
• I love that I can pay my bills before they are due
• I love that I have taken control of my weight
  
• I love that there are a gazillion pics of hubby with our baby
• I hate that there are only a couple of me and him
• I hate not being able to control things that I should
  
• I hate arguing over childish stuff
  
• But I LOVE MY LIFE!
  

My World

Well so much has happened in the past year. My 1st wedding anniversary is this Sunday, May 16.
And my precious baby boy will be a year old on June 26, just 2 days before my birthday. He was indeed the best birthday present I have ever received. There have been a whirlwind of occurrences that have happened over this past year. When my baby was born, I had postpartum hemorrhaging and had to be taken in for emergency surgery. Everything went well, but I didn't get to spend a lot of those precious moments with him before being whisked off to the operating room. He was perfectly healthy weighing in at 5 lbs, 10 oz and 19 inches long. Yeah, he's gonna be tall like his mommy :) He is the biggest blessing in my life. Jerry and I got so lucky to have such a perfect baby. Sure I've had moments where I needed my mommy at 2am to help me, and she knew just what do to. But those moments are very rare. He is a happy baby, always smiling and giggling for no reason at all. We can tell how much he loves us just by the way he acts when we walk into the room he is in, or his gigantic smile when we get him from his crib when he first wakes up. Such a good boy. I've rarely had a night which I didn't get much sleep. He will normally sleep 10+ hours a night and always wakes up in a good mood. My handsome lil' man. He has red hair like daddy, blue eyes like mommy & facial reactions like grandpa. BUT, he is definitely a Grandma's boy. He gets sooo upsets when she leaves. There is so much love in this family for this tiny little boy. My husband and I have had our little arguments over how to raise him (who doesn't) but we work it out in a civil manner. Sometimes I wonder what I would do if we didn't have the love and support from my family and great friends. Since my weight-loss surgery I have dropped a large amount of weight and it has affected my vitamins to which I am tired all of the time. I Know I am a good mom, and I'm grateful to those around us that pitch in when needed. Especially my husband. He's a great dad. THe kind of dad that gets on the floor and plays with him when I don't have the energy to. Even though all of the struggles we've had, we KNOW we have the perfect boy and treat him like no-one else could. He is the light of our lives.

Hillbilly Redneck

Wow, been a long time since I updated this thing. Guess that's what happens when life turns around. Well, you know from my last post that I'm pregnant, and now I have to tell you that I'm getting married! May 16, just a little over a week away. It's been hectic around here trying to get things together and all of the planning. We were planning on getting married anyway, but we decided to do it before the baby is born. On that note, the baby is a boy! Daddy and grandpa sure are happy about that one lol. We recently moved into a new home, much bigger than the last place. Thanks to my mom for stocking the nursery :) Looks like we pretty much have everything we need already! He's gonna be a grandma's boy for sure. Anyway, here is a picture of Jerry and I for your viewing pleasure.

Wow, I know it's been awhile since I've updated this blog. Sorry about that! A LOT has happened over the past few months. I totaled my car on September 18... NOT my fault. The jackass did NOT have a license OR insurance. I had to buy a new car of course. And now, the awesome news. I found out this week that I am 3 weeks pregnant!!!! My due date is June 28, which is also my birthday! Jerry and I are sooo excited! Woohooooo!!

I Hurt

Recovery is not going well. Had my follow-up appointment but didn't get my drains removed. Apparently they just aren't ready to come out. ugh. I have 270 stitches from hip to hip that pull like a bitch. I can barely walk, let alone sit here at this computer for more than a few minutes. I've been in bed pretty much ever since I got home from the hospital last Friday. Today was the worst day. Along with the constant pain, I had a terrible bout of nausea. Fun times. Maybe some sort of infection? Who knows.. pardon me while I go back to my bed and be miserable. I miss you.

Recovering

Surgery went well. No complications to speak of, just the irritations of healing now. My follow-up appointment with my surgeon is Wednesday, so hopefully I'll get these drains removed. I spent the day and evening before surgery with some friends and had a blast. Yeah, we drank a bit too much. Went to a couple clubs then ended up back at Kelvin's house. Good times.
